Gotta Dance offers a variety of dance classes for boys and girls of all ages and levels, giving all students the opportunity to enjoy a well-rounded performing arts education. Some classes can be limited or require additional disciplines (such as ballet) in order to enroll, and several require a recommendation from an instructor in order to participate.
Advanced classes are also available and are designed for students with a strong dance background. All advanced classes have prerequisites of at least 2 years in the previous level class.

Similar to the floor skills of gymnastics, Acro focuses on strength, stretch, balance and partnering work (stunting). Basic tumbling includes backbends, walkovers, handsprings, aerial tricks and more. Acro/Jazz and Acro/Hip Hop incorporate jazz and hip hop dance techniques and choreography into the Acro curriculum.
Register NowWe have several class options for adults including Tap, Jazz and Lyrical. Most participate in classes with our older teens with a year-long commitment (September - June), but we do offer session classes.
2024/2025 Adult Session Class offerings
Register NowBallet is the foundation of all dance. Dancers will improve posture and coordination, and develop the etiquette needed to study dance. Ballet class is recommended for all dancers, and is required for advanced-level students or participation in performing companies. Pre-pointe and Pointe classes are offered with instructor recommendation.
Register NowThis upbeat class teaches Broadway-style jazz choreography and stage presence focusing on dance numbers from musicals past and present. Students will learn jazz technique, dance terminology, and develop coordination and flexibility.
Register NowContemporary focuses on self-expression, spatial awareness, the use of body weight, efficiency of muscle use, and safe body alignment. Class starts with a comprehensive warm-up and gradually builds up to more elaborate dance routines. NOTE: Students must also take a Ballet class.
Register NowCreative Dance is designed for preschool-aged children. The class is developmentally appropriate and cognitively engaging through the use of games and songs. Class also includes stretching, tumbling and development of their motor skills.
Register NowPerformed to Top 40 music, Hip-Hop will enhance strength, balance and coordination. It focuses on developing rhythm and coordination while encouraging individual style. NOTE: Though not required, it is recommended that dancers also take jazz or ballet, as it will increase a dancer's ability.
Register NowJazz teaches technique, dance terminology, coordination and flexibility. Performed to upbeat music, the choreography includes leaps, turns, kicks, traveling steps and more. Jazz-Funk adds a few hip-hop elements to the choreography and class technique. This is a great class for boys and girls of all ages.
Register NowLine Dance is uniform group dancing that is performed to a variety of music. Students will learn several Country and Social Line Dances - from the Hully Gully to the Boot Scootin' Boogie. This is a great class for ages 18 through senior citizens and a terrific form of low-impact exercise.
Register NowFeaturing the leaps and turns of jazz combined with the fluency of ballet, Lyrical will teach you balance, strength, posture and the ability to release inner energy. Some Jazz dance experience is helpful but not required. A Lyrical/Jazz class is also available. NOTE: Must be currently enrolled in ballet.
Register NowModern is based on natural, expressive, and sequential movements. It expresses individuality and encourages the students to express a broad range of emotions through various qualities of movement. A ballet background is recommended.
Register NowThe perfect class for the dancer who wants to act or the actor who wants to dance. Students will develop stage presence and self-confidence and will perform group vocals and routines from Broadway musicals. This is a fun class that is designed to take the fear out of performing.
Register NowIn the presence of their parent or other caregiver, children will move independently and with a group. Activities will support a toddler's current developmental skills, including: motor planning, color recognition, listening, taking turns, and following directions. Participants should wear comfortable and movable clothing and will dance barefoot.
Register NowTap is an energetic form of dance that focuses on rhythm and percussion. Wearing special shoes with metal taps on the toes and heels, dancers will make rhythmic and syncopated sounds with their feet. The goal is to develop dancer’s clarity, rhythm, timing and phrasing in a fun and challenging way.
Register NowOften called "exercise in disguise," Zumba® is fun, effective and made for everyone. The class mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Students will get a total workout, combining cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility and boosted energy.
